At the upcoming Intel Developer Forum (IDF) Serial ATA Working Group
II – an independent consortium of companies, introduced three new specifications
Serial ATA II Serial Interface Designed to Accelerate Development
and the introduction of products supporting the Serial ATA standard in desktop, mobile,
server systems and networked storage devices.
According to experts, the emergence of these specifications will contribute to the rapid

Digital 1 Specification.one
As announced by representatives of the Serial ATA working group, the specification
Serial ATA Digital 1.1 includes the following enhancements:
- Asynchronous signal recovery, allowing you to recover the lost
signal and establish communication after hot plugging
- Asynchronous notification of ATAPI devices, eliminating the need for hosts
periodically send requests to detect changes in the presence of media
- Optimization of queuing to allow devices to be given additional
commands during long data sessions
