Little-known (maybe for now) companies EnXnet and OneDisc announce the development of a new optical media format that combines the advantages of DVD and CD. This is all quite simple: a hybrid disc has different coverage on both sides, on one side it is a DVD, on the other – a CD.

The new hybrid drives are the result of an alliance of disk compression, replication and data protection technologies (EnXnet); and on DVD video / audio, CD audio and content (OneDisc).
