Nikon has officially unveiled
rumored camera,
D2H. This digital SLR camera features a new 4.1 million image sensor.

In FP mode, the flash emits a series of short flashes that provide synchronization
with the new Nikon D2H digital SLR camera at shutter speeds up to 1/8000 sec.

Wide-angle AF-assist beam

Nikon D2H compatibility is also ensured by the focus area illumination system
new 11-zone D2H Multi-CAM200 autofocus system for precision
autofocus system operation when lighting conditions are below –1 EV (ISO100).
In addition to the improved i-TTL system, the new SB-800 also
has a new innovative control system for multiple flash groups.
Improved wireless control

The SB-800 is equipped with Nikon Communication Technology, enabling information exchange
between outbreaks. This system is designed for shooting with a group
flashes as easy as single flash photography.

Up to 3 SB-800 flashes can now exchange data from metering flashes
with a master flash unit for automatic exposure metering, which saves
from the need to use a flash meter or do manual calculations.
The D2H DSLR uses a 1005 segment matrix sensor
to calculate exposure and send information to each slave flash unit to change
its power.
Additionally, for those photographers who need full power control
each flash, the possibility of remote control of the modes of each
from SB-800 slave flash units using the master flash unit.In addition, you can disable
master flash while maintaining full control and communication with remote flash units.

In situations where several photographers are working at the same time, adjustment is possible
linking the master and slave flash units to one of 4 switchable channels, which allows

Distance priority mode

Enhanced flash control capabilities are provided in the new
distance priority mode. The photographer can set the distance to the subject in advance
and the desired aperture value, and the SB-800 calculates the required pulse power
regardless of the color or reflectivity of the subject.

SB-800 has the same guide number 36 (ISO 100), arrangement of buttons, organs
control and lockable metal foot as the SB-80DX, but it has a new
dot matrix LCD. To turn on the modeling light, you can also
use the D2H’s depth-of-field (DOF) preview button to
evaluate the cut-off pattern of the frame without taking your eyes off the camera viewfinder.

All of the above functions will work when an off-camera flash is connected
to the camera using a new optional sync cable SC-29.
