Ours at Computex 2021: curious things at the Gigabyte booth
A lot of interesting new products are demonstrated by companies these days at Computex 2021 in Taipei, Taiwan. Of course, in our news, we try first of all to inform our readers about new technologies and promising developments. However, one cannot do without a story about new products, especially with a “twist” that will appear on the shelves of computer stores in the near future.
From the entire stream of correspondence sent from the exhibition by our representative Alexander Vorobyov, we will publish in the near future the most interesting exhibits of our stands. But first, a quick look at the exposure:
Let’s start our tour from the stand of Gigabyte. Here is a complete system based on an AMD Athlon FX51 processor:
The system is based on the K8NNXP-940 motherboard, based on the NVIDIA nForce3 Pro 150 chipset, as well as the FX 5900 Ultra graphics card and DDR500 memory from GEIL. What impressed me most about this system personally was the support for the new IEEE1394b interface with a data exchange rate of up to 800 Mb / s. To put it mildly, this interface as part of desktop PCs, and even integrated, is still a rarity (apart from Apple computers). Perhaps someone was confused by the appearance at the Gigabyte booth of a video card on a chip from NVIDIA? This is the long-awaited Gigabyte NB-1401 Centrino laptop, which has been talked about for so long on the web.
