SWD Software begins shipping EasySoft Data Access
SWD Software Ltd announces delivery of EasySoft Data Access middleware from EasySoft. The EasySoft Data Access family of products is designed to provide access to ODBC data sources in heterogeneous networks and allows QNX applications to work with DBMS located on the Windows platform through a standard ODBC API.
A key component of the EasySoft Data Access product family ? ODBC-ODBC Bridge (EasySoft ODBC-ODBC Bridge). It consists of a server side running on the Windows side and a client side running on the QNX side. Using the EasySoft ODBC-ODBC Bridge, QNX programs written in C, Perl, Python or PHP can access the DBMS on the Windows side using standard ODBC 3 calls.five. This solves the problem of cross-compatibility caused by the lack or limited availability of ODBC drivers for the required DBMS on the required platform and arising, for example, when it is necessary to work from a QNX application with an Oracle or InterBase DBMS.
The family also includes an ODBC-JDBC bridge, ODBC drivers for various platforms, an XML-ODBC server, and other components.
