SCO Group continues to advance: in sight ? Red Hat

Another aggressive attack by the SCO Group: the company accused Red Hat of distributing Linux containing Unix code and of copyright infringement. At the same time, the CEO of the company Darl McBride again suggested that those wishing to use Linux to purchase a license, but at a lower price.

McBride accuses Red Hat of distributing Linux containing elements of the Unix System 5 kernel. Prior to this, SCO initiated a systemic litigation with IBM, then (in absentia) accused all Linux users of connivance with “people who illegally distribute paid software.”. And, as before, the company offers to buy a license “in order to avoid prosecution”, although the question of what, where, and whether it was copied at all is still open.
