Ericsson will entrust IBM with the development of its global information system
It’s no surprise that IBM has been focusing more and more on outsourcing manufacturing outsourcing lately. However, the agreement that the company has today signed with Ericsson is much broader and will involve not only production facilities, but also the potential of the company’s developers – the companies have signed an agreement during which the development, implementation and support of the global information technology system Ericsson will be entirely entrusted to IBM.
Financial details of the deal have not yet been disclosed. It is known that part of the staff of the Ericsson Process & Application Consulting division will be transferred to IBM, and work on the information system is planned to begin in September.
