The highly anticipated TM8000 processor. or, as it was dubbed in Transmeta, Astro, will be officially presented in September 2021. At least, this is the statement made by the company’s management at a conference dedicated to the announcement of the results of the second financial quarter.
“In Q2, we started shipping samples of the 1.1GHz TM8000 processor and have already received positive feedback from our partners.” ? In his speech, Transmeta CEO Matthew Perry (Dr. Matthew Perry). The TM8000 chip will be mass-produced by Transmeta’s traditional manufacturing partner, TSMC. The chip will be manufactured using the 0.13 micron technical process.
