IBM and Cisco Agreement: IBM Reduces Prices for MDS 9000 and Equips It with Its IPSSM

IBM and Cisco Announce an Agreement Under which IBM will Sell its IP Storage Services Modules (IPSSM) in conjunction with the Cisco MDS 9000 Network Attached Storage Systems. IPSSM support iSCSI (Internet Small Computer Systems Interface), FCIP (Fiber Channel over IP).

With the agreement reached today, IBM will also be able to significantly reduce the prices of the MDS 9000 series storage systems sold through the company’s reseller channels.
