Motorola and Fujitsu: Safety First

Motorola and Fujitsu
Microelectronics announced plans to port recognition technology to PDA
fingerprint developed by Fujitsu; in their implementations, both manufacturers
will rely on Motorola application processors, i.MX. Technology offered
Fujitsu, is unique in that it allows fingerprint recognition independently
from the position of the finger on the sensor.

On the hardware side, processors i.MX are made on an ARM core with a clock
frequency of 200 MHz, the core supply voltage is only 1.8 V. Interfaces
processors are presented in the diagram:
